Meet the Team

  • A registered nurse for over 30 years, and an ordained elder and pastor for more than ten, Bev's education and experience bring a broad view of persons as whole beings. Her formal education includes a Master of Nursing with a specialty in Nursing Informatics and completion of the course of study for ministers.

From the pediatric bedside to corporate-level regulatory management oversight, she has effectively combined faith and vocation. After years of dreaming and much prayer, Bev was blessed to arrive in Alaska July of 2022 to serve as the Program Coordinator for the Alaska Faith Community Nurse Resource Center at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Most recently, Bev founded Faith Community Health Ministries to increase awareness and presence of trauma-informed, whole-person wellness in Church of the Nazarene congregations across Alaska. Practicing at the top of her nursing license with additional training in mental health, trauma-informed care, and resilience, she is a Certified Trauma Professional ready to serve individuals and churches who want or need help along the way.

Bev is married to Keith, also an ordained elder who has pastored for over 30 years. They have five children in their blended family with nine grandchildren spread across the lower 48. Sophie, their eight-year-old Papillon, keeps them from experiencing a truly empty nest!

  • Stephanie is deeply committed to promoting trauma-informed, whole-person wellness in every interaction. With a background in behavioral health focused on trauma and a Master of Science in Mental Health and Wellness, she excels as a coach and speaker.

Having completed ministerial training in the Church of the Nazarene, Stephanie dedicated years to active ministry in diverse roles, encompassing responsibilities such as preaching, multimedia communication, reporting, and audio/visual. She is passionate about developing innovative outreach tools and creating inclusive spaces for marginalized communities.

Stephanie's forward-thinking approach extends to her personal life, where alongside her husband Sean, they navigate parenting neurodiverse children with diagnoses such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and bipolar disorder. They embrace the principles of trauma-informed care within their family, witnessing its transformative impact firsthand.

Together, Stephanie and Sean cherish their roles as parents and continue to explore new ways to embody and share love and compassion in their family, community, and beyond.
